Item Description
5.25x7-5/8" hardcover w/212 pages and original dust jacket. First edition published by Grosset & Dunlap, ©1949 (the same year "The Lone Ranger" TV show began). Inside front cover has blue ink secretarial inscription/signature, reading "To Scott Marchmont-Robinson - With Best Wishes - From - The Lone Ranger." This area also bears actual signature of Lone Ranger co-creator George Trendle. Some scattered moisture staining to inscription, but Trendle's name remains unaffected. DJ has spine clips at top/bottom w/tape repair to top interior of front flap. Small tears at these areas. VG overall. Book itself shows lt. wear, last few pages have .75" to 1" scuffs at top center of pages. VF. Comes w/13.75x21-5/8" cardboard sign w/easel back promoting this same book, the 11th of the 18 Lone Ranger novels. Sign features image of the book along w/"See The Lone Ranger On Television" text at top w/blank provided for station identification. Large circle at bottom right notes original price of 85¢. Sign shows corner tip wear and has large area of moisture staining, though this is not too distracting on front (more noticeable on reverse). VG. Rare and first we've seen in our 51 years.
