Item Description
Oversized 11x14" vintage photo shows Jack Dempsey (1895-1983) posing in his boxing trunks and shoes and has been signed in black ink "To My Friend Johnny Hawkins - Kindest Regards - Jack Dempsey" by Dempsey's knee. Inscription blends a bit into dark bkg. but signature remains distinct. Dempsey was an American professional boxer who competed from 1914 to 1927, and reigned as the world heavyweight champion from 1919 to 1926. Photo has moderate margin wear, w/1" tear at top, just left of center. Top margin also has pin hole at top center and 1/8" and .25x.5" edge chips. Right margin has 1/8x.75" edge chip 2.5" horizontal tear at center left. .25" line puncture at lower left. VG overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
