Item Description
Illustrated 5x8x3" cardboard box contains 6.75" tall tin litho toy depicting The Lone Ranger seated on back of rearing Silver. Box is evenly aged and shows scattered moderate wear in the form of edge creases and corner tip wear w/surface paper splits and small punctures, including 1/8" hole at center of one main panel. Missing two inner flaps. VG overall but still nice for display. Lone Ranger holds wire lasso in hand over his head that spins when built-in key is wound. Lower arm is jointed by tiny tab into the shoulder to swing freely during operation. Left side (side Lone Ranger is facing) has banner w/"The Lone Ranger - Hi-Yo Silver!" text while opposite side has Marx Toys logo and ©1938 The Lone Ranger, Inc. Key wind action causes Silver to prance in circular fashion while Lone Ranger vigorously swings wire lasso. Toy was produced w/Silver in either silver luster metal or white paint variety, this is white paint version. Original wire lasso but w/some minor bends. Scattered paint nicks and scratches. Working and Fine overall.
