Item Description
4.5x6" waxed paper 1¢ wrapper. 72 cards were issued in the set, the smallest of three sets from Gum Inc. R336. This classic card set features HOF members including Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Hank Greenberg, Pee Wee Reese (RC), Mel Ott, Jimmie Foxx and others. Wrapper was issued in four different colors, this is orange. Central image of a batter, border design includes collage of all types of baseball equipment. These images are part of a contest as outlined on the wrapper with the 200 most correct replies winning a copy of "Clowning Through Baseball" book. Lt. crease lines as originally folded and some other lt. wear but a very clean example. Fine. Richard Calusdian Collection.
