Item Description
Large and impressive 20.25x32.5" serigraph on high quality Styria Studio (w/embossed stamp at lower left) paper of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana, who started and won four Super Bowls and was the first player ever to have been named Super Bowl MVP three times. While Leroy Neiman (1921-2012) created over 30 football-related serigraphs over his career, very few were dedicated to individual players. 1990. Limited edition of 309 (250 numbered, 50 artist proofs and 9 printer proofs), this is one of the very limited artist proofs as noted by "A.P. 20/50" designation in pencil at lower left. Serigraph has been signed by Neiman in pencil at lower right. Serigraph has slight ripple, but is o/w Exc. and would make for a bold framed display.
