Item Description
1.25" with beautifully shaded b/w real photo ( no dot screen) of Di Maggio smiling and wearing his Yankee cap. We date this as 1939 as that year he won his first Most Valuable Player award. We know of only two other buttons in the set. One for aviator Dick Merrill who made several famous late 30s flights and the other for Eddie Shore of the Boston Bruins who won their second Stanley Cup in 1939. Rare and Mint.
