Item Description
8x10.5" single-sided paper sign issued in 1944 for use in stores, this example has "Whelan Drug Stores" imprint at bottom. Sign was issued in recognition of store's support of "The United States Treasury's War Savings Stamp Program," which awarded one 10¢ war stamp for every ten punches received on "Comic Savers Card" punch card, which is pictured along w/Superman image. Faint horizontal crease at center as issued w/some lt. handling wear, but sign remains totally bright and clean and is o/w VF/Exc. Rare w/only a few known examples.
