Single-sided 5.5x17" paper sign has full body image of Superman flying, patriotic "Victory Through Savings" flag in his hand. ©1943 Superman, Inc. Promotional text below Superman image notes "A New Paramount Superman Cartoon Is Coming Soon!" Sign was issued by WPWRFC and Paramount Pictures for display in movie theaters to help promote the "4th War Loan" w/Jan. 18 to Feb. 29 dates listed below bold "Start Saving Today" text. Sign has very lt. even aging, tiny nick along upper right margin and lower left corner has 1.75" streak of moisture staining. Sign is o/w bright, clean and VF overall. Rare, our last example w/o stain sold for $1,349. This is the last example from the Franco Toscanini Collection.
