Item Description
Nicely illustrated cardboard box contains 9.75" long tin litho gun by Marx. ©1935 KFS. Box has even aging and some scattered creasing and is missing end and all inner flaps at one end. Box is VG overall, but still nice for display. Gun is similar in style to the Flash Gordon clicker guns produced by Marx, this version has portrait image of Popeye in pirate hat on both sides of grip, while one side of barrel has "Popeye Pirate Pistol" text w/image of anchor while other side has small portraits of Wimpy, Olive Oyl, Roughhouse and Cole Oyl. Gun has scattered tiny nicks but remains totally bright and glossy. Exc. w/working clicker mechanism. Scarce, especially w/box.
