Item Description
22" tall tin litho and wood toy instrument featuring 8.5" dia. by 2" deep tin body accented by three complete decal portraits of Gravel Gertie, B.O. Plenty, Sparkle Plenty and Dick Tracy. Tudor, c. late 1940s. © FAS/Tribune News Syndicate. Wooden neck has brass finger board overlay and tuning pegs are also metal w/plastic grips on underside. Head has foil "Tudor" eagle label. All four wire banjo strings present. Scattered lt. aging/wear but bright, clean and much nicer than typically found. Choice, Exc. condition. Very rare Dick Tracy item, w/few known examples.
