Item Description
12" tall by 8" dia. tin litho toy washing machine features graphics around the basin showing scenes depicting B.O. Plenty, Gravel Gertie, and, of course, Sparkle Plenty doing the laundry and wistfully singing, "This Is The Way We Wash Our Clothes..." Kalon Radio Corp., 1940s. Washing machine is complete w/handled lid, inner metal drying basket, rubber drain hose and an agitator w/an exterior crank handle. Comes w/two miniature wooden clothespins and original illustrated instruction sheet which is aged and shows wear, including .25" hole at center. Exterior shows some scattered wear from use and white areas have darkened w/age to a uniform cream color. Tiny nick to wooden lid handle. Fine/VF overall. A most unusual Dick Tracy item.
