Item Description
7.5x9.5" original glossy photo showing 15 players on this black barnstorming baseball team. They are posed in uniforms on ball field with spectators in the background. In the front row, second from the right is Luke Easter. As issued, at lower right is attached paper strip noting team name and "September-October 1946 14-Game Series-Honolulu Stadium, Hawaii." Photo is mounted to stiff board. Sharp and bold team image. Exc. Luke went on to play for the Homestead Grays of the Negro Leagues (1947-48) and in the Major Leagues for the Cleveland Indians (1949-1954). He was inducted into the International League HOF in 2008.
