1" with W&H paper in use 1900-1912. Joseph Merkel of Wisconsin began attaching small motors to bicycles in 1901. His resulting Merkel Motor Cycle became known for its excellent ride and reliability. This button touts the ride by showing all the teeth in upper and lower human jaws, all encircling the posed question "Why Is The Spring Frame Merkel Motor Cycle A Poor Help To The Dental Profession?" Rare and NM displaying Mint.
