Item Description
This was a two part premium set from Kellogg's Pep and a precursor to their famous set of 86 comic characters (see previous two lots). This lot consists of one of the four green planes issued in 1943. This is the "Boeing B-29 Superfortress". Paint on all 12 in this set was very susceptible to wear. This one has many small marks. Glossy and Fine. In 1945, four more planes were issued but with "real" cloud backgrounds or artist drawn clouds with blue lines. These are one of each style with the plane shown a "North American B-25 Mitchell". The "real" clouds has lighter paint areas on the sky and mark at plane's center but VG. The blue lines version has bit of plane name lettering loss from the curl but front of button is VF.
