Item Description
26.75x40-1/8" for the original release of the 1922 First National Pictures film featuring noted stage actor Guy Bates Post's film debut. Great stone lithography by Butts Litho Co., Inc. features shadowy portrait of British politician w/inset scene at top showing woman hugging man she thinks is her husband when in fact it is his doppelgänger cousin, who has switched places w/him in a "Prince And The Pauper" style story. The point is driven home by her "'You Don't Seem To Be The Same Man, John'" caption. Originally folded, poster has now been linen-mounted and has had moderate scattered restoration to creases and tears along fold lines, including 2.25" tear at bottom left below First National name. Color touch-ups along fold lines and at fold crease intersections, including moderate area of restoration/touch-up to center fold crease intersection (on shadowy profile's cheek). Fine overall w/vivid color.
