Item Description
27.25x41" for the original release of the 1942 20th Century Fox World War II drama directed by William A. Wellman and starring Gene Tierney, Preston Foster and John Sutton. Made as a propaganda vehicle to boost civilian morale while at the same time providing a look at training activities and promoting airpower as a means of winning the war. Printed by Tooker Litho. Co. of New York, poster features portraits of Tierney, Foster and Sutton at top left w/several warbirds interspersed and troop image at lower left. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted w/restoration and some color touch-ups along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Poster has lt. even aging w/pin holes at top corners and top bottom center. Slight streak of aging along bottom center fold line, but o/w poster displays VF as linen-mounted.
