Item Description
28.25x41.25" for the original release of the 1916 silent film promoted as a "Mile-A-Minute Motor Series" about racing, now considered lost. Serial had 12 chapters, this poster is for Chapter 4, "The Hidden Prince." Serial differed from most in that each chapter featured a separate and unrelated story, relating the adventures of Christopher Race and his high-powered automobile, "The Scarlet Runner." Each episode had a different cast, except for the continuing role of Earle Williams. Poster features nice stone lithography by Alpha Litho Co. Inc. of New York. Originally folded, poster has now been linen-mounted w/extensive restoration and color touch-ups along fold lines and various scattered creases. These are most noticeable in red field of poster. Margins have repairs to several tears. As restored and linen-mounted, poster now displays Fine overall w/strong color. Early and rare film serial poster for a now lost film.
