Item Description
28.25x42.25" for the original release of Paramount Pictures' 1917 Mack Sennett Comedy directed by William Campbell and Hampton Del Ruth. A parody of popular Westerns starring Ben Turpin and Polly Moran as the sheriffs of a frontier town gone berserk and in desperate need of rehabilitation. Great stone lithography by Alpha Litho Co. Inc. of New York, featuring Tom Kennedy trying to woo Moran as Turpin's head peeks out of closed trunk in a comical fashion. Originally folded, poster has now been linen-mounted w/professional restoration along fold lines. Margins have some scattered restoration, including repairs to tears and pin holes. Bottom center has .5" chip painted/filled in and Kennedy's coat has 1/8" color touch-up. As linen-mounted and w/restoration, poster now displays Exc. w/strong color.
