1.75" w/"New York 98" union bug and back stamp. Slogan references quote by Charlie Wilson, Ike's Secretary of Defense, from 1954. Wilson, a former President of General Motors, was speaking about unemployed workers in Detroit, MI when he noted that "Personally, I Like Bird Dogs Better Than Kennel-Fed Dogs. The Bird Dogs Like To Get Out And Hunt Their Food, But The Kennel Dogs Just Sit On Their Haunches And Yelp." Democrats turned the moment into buttons, including the slogan "I Am A Kennel Dog Voting Democratic." Light surface wear in reflected light and minor oxidation of metal back. Exc. Scarce.
