Item Description
First is gorgeous color 1.5" button c. 1910 showing an aged Civil War veteran laying a wreath on the grave of a comrade. "G.A.R." at top and with back paper naming Baltimore firm "C. D. Kenny Co./Teas, Coffees, Sugars". Ribbon badges are brass about 3-3.5" tall each issued for 100th anniversary of a major battle. First medal obverse reads "The Confederate States Of America/ Deo Vindice/ Feb. 22, 1862". Reverse has crossed flags of North and South plus "Antietam-South Mountain Centennial 1862/1962".  Second shows Generals Lew Wallace and Jubal Early to commemorate "Battle of Monocacy Frederick, Md."  Last with "Official Staff" card in the hanger window is for "Battle Of Gettysburg / The High Water Mark" with images of Meade and Lee.
Reverse has North/South flags, a cannon and hat design and text "Participant/ Centennial/1863/1963".  All Exc to Mint and the centennial badges were quite limited in production.
