Item Description
27.5x41" for the original release of the 1936 murder mystery directed by Robert F. Hill and starring Wallace Ford, Barbara Pepper and Joan Woodbury. Moody stone lithography by Morgan Litho. Corp. of Cleveland, OH evokes horror movie feel, w/main cast held a gunpoint as tavern looms in bkg. The shadowy image of a wild dog (credited on the poster as Silver Wolf) hangs over poster at top right. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has had some color touch-ups along fold lines and areas of creasing around fold crease intersections. Moderate restoration to several tears along left margin and a few on bottom margin, poster has had touch-ups to pin holes at corners. 1" area of staining just to left of top fold crease intersection. Fine overall, but if matted and framed, poster would display nicely w/vivid color.
