Item Description
Set of seven high quality dolls, each in matching size of approx. 12" tall w/hats folded back. Larger size series by Knickerbocker (who produced a number of different size Dwarfs dolls), 1938. Each has stuffed velveteen body w/felt accents including belts (w/metal buckles), button on Dopey's shirt and Doc's glasses. Formed oilcloth faces w/painted features and life-like beards. Names are printed on front of hats. While these dolls were quite susceptible to fading, most here remain bright w/just slight fade visible to blue shirts. Typical but very slight aging to velveteen w/some scattered aging to back of necks and shirt collars. Happy has some spots of staining to front of hat and forehead and is VG/Fine. Doc has moderate paint wear to cheeks. Some lt. insect damage to Dopey's felt button, but rest are each in exceptional condition and remain bright and clean. Fine to VF overall and rarely found this nice. Scarce as a set.
