Item Description
Large and impressive cello toy, 5x10x5.5". Unmarked but made in Japan, 1930s. One of three versions, each utilizing a slightly different Mickey Mouse "Roly Poly" figure as the car's driver. This example features Mickey w/celluloid ball arms and hands, the other versions have wood or painted ball arm/hands. Free-wheeling car is very nicely designed and detailed including grill, hood ornament and spare tire on back. Mickey figure bobs a bit when pulled along. Missing steering wheel and small celluloid loop on front to attach pull cord. 1-7/8" section of railing missing on left side. Wheels show some aging but toy is o/w in incredible condition for a celluloid toy of this size and age. VF overall. Rare and only the second example we've offered in our 51 years.
