Item Description
5x9x8" tall all celluloid toy w/inner winding mechanism. Made in Japan, 1930s. Jointed Mickey Mouse figure is attached to the back of the elephant and smaller, non-jointed Minnie Mouse figure is attached to the elephant's trunk. Elephant came in two colors - white and orange - this is orange version. Remnant of small paper label on underside of elephant's belly. Designed w/separate head and ears, which move independently during operation of the toy. One ear has had professional restoration to reattach. Mickey figure has been restrung. Comes w/replacement key and works well when wound. Toy has lt. trace of aging but is free of any cracks/dents. VF overall. Very impressive celluloid Disney toy.
