Item Description
27.25x41.5" for the original release of the 1954 Columbia crime drama directed by Elia Kazan and starring Marlon Brando, Karl Maden, Lee J. Cobb, Rod Steiger, Pat Henning and Eva Marie Saint in her film debut. A critical and commercial success, the film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Brando, Best Supporting Actress for Saint and Best Director for Kazan. Poster is dominated by portrait of Brando, w/inset film scene of him w/Saint at bottom and illustration of fight along left. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted w/moderate scattered restoration, including repainted corners, some repairs/filling to margin wear/tears and touch-ups along fold lines and fold crease intersections, including some tears/splits. Scattered dust soiling, but still very displayable for a mostly white poster. Fine overall.
