Item Description
27.5x41" for the original release of the 1944 Paramount Pictures World War II film directed by Cecil B. DeMille and starring Gary Cooper, Laraine Day, Singe Hasso and Dennis O'Keefe. The film was inspired by the book about the wartime activities of US Navy Doctor Corydon M. Wassell which were referred to by President Roosevelt in a 1942 radio broadcast. Nice stone lithography by Morgan Litho. Corp. of Cleveland, OH features nice portrait of Cooper as Wassell as well as three inset film scenes. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has had some color touch-ups along fold lines. Pin holes at corners. Upper right has 1x1.5" area of touch-up and poster has evenly aged. Displays VF as linen-mounted w/deep color.
