Item Description
27.25x41" for the original release of the 1947 Columbia 15-Chapter serial directed by Spencer Gordon Bennet and Thomas Carr that adapted King Features Syndicate's popular adventure comic strip character. The serial starred Kane Richmond in the title role alongside Rick Vallin, Linda Johnson and Pierre Watkin. Great stone lithography by Morgan Litho. Corp. of Cleveland, OH features portraits of Richmond and Johnson w/ray gun and action scenes including rocketship. Poster is for Chapter 1, "Atomic Defense!" and features film scene of the protagonists defending area w/rifles. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has had minimal color touch-ups along fold lines and little to no restoration to margins. Displays Exc. as linen-mounted w/strong color.
