Item Description
3x4.75" cardstock folder/membership card for English "Regal (Golders Green) Mickey Mouse Club" theater club, issued by County Cinemas Ltd. in 1938. One of the nicest club cards we've seen in terms of design and content, this example features great images throughout, including images of Mickey and Minnie Mouse as well as Donald Duck, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow. Front has been filled out by recipient in blue ink, including birthday and has corrected membership number. Inside features printed club rules w/great image of Mickey and Minnie holding large trophy. Back notes "Always Wear Your Mickey Mouse Club Badge" and goes on to note advantages of the club, including viewing cartoons as well as contests and surprises. Moderate handling wear/aging w/corner foxing and some scattered dust soiling. Fine overall. Most Mickey Mouse movie club cards just feature images of Mickey, this card has added bonus of other Disney characters. Rare and first we've seen in our 51 years.
