Item Description
40.25x84" for 1898 theater performance featuring American vaudevillian, actor, singer and songwriter Andrew Mack (who was of Irish descent, hence the title) in "An Irish Gentleman." Great stone lithography by The Strobridge Litho. Co. of Cincinnati and New York features larger than lifesize image of Mack from the knees up. As w/all three sheets, this poster is pieced together from three pieces, w/images lining up nicely. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted and has scattered restoration to tears and splits at margins and some splits along fold lines. Of particular note, there is a horizontal fold running across Mack's face, w/scattered touch-ups and splits. 1/8" chip/flake to "Gentleman" text in title. Poster is evenly aged and displays Fine/VF overall. Rare poster.
