Item Description
41x79.5" for the original release of the 1929 silent drama directed by Howard Higgin and starring William Boyd (years before his Hopalong Cassidy days), Diane Ellis, Alan Hale, Robert Armstrong and Fred Kohler. Great stone lithography by Morgan Litho. Co. of Cleveland, OH features Boyd in US Marine uniform in rickshaw w/Ellis as two other Marines look on. As w/all three sheets, this poster is pieced together from three pieces, resulting in some uneven margins, but images line up nicely. Originally folded, poster has been linen-mounted w/some restoration along fold lines/fold crease intersections. Poster has scattered separation at top/bottom margins as well as at edges of poster pieces. 1" tear to Ellis' face and 1.5" tear at upper right beside junk boat. Fold lines have some splits and lower left corner has chip off. Pin holes at corners. Some scattered tape staining along fold lines; most prominent at upper left. VG overall as linen-mounted. Scarce.
