Item Description
April 19, 1986 was opening day for the Pop Shop at 292 Lafayette St. NYC. Four items in this lot pre-date that event and 11 buttons are c. the 1986 opening. All items are from the Marshall Levin Collection and two items carry his date notation on the reverse. The first, in pencil, is on the back of the 3.5" square unused sticker and reads "Keith Haring 1982". Light traces of age tone on the front. VF. Second is 1.5" square pin-back with curl text "©1985 Keith Haring". Remaining buttons are 15/16". Row 2 buttons are c. 1983 with nothing on the curls. Row 3 buttons have curl text " © K. Haring 1986" and "Pop Shop" is a Levin master with reverse note "Aug.1986/10M" (meaning 10,000 ordered). Rows 4 and 5 have curl text "Keith Haring TM". The 14 buttons are essentially Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
