Item Description
1.25" w/Chicago union back stamp and bug on curl at 6 o'clock. Hake-Willkie #2034. Among the most sought-after cartoon buttons by Willkie collectors, FDR specialists and Mad Magazine collectors. Design has portrait of a young boy which was used in the late 19th century and then eventually adopted as the mascot of Mad Magazine. Text reads on the rim "Sure! I'm For The New Deal/I.M.A. Simp."  A superb example w/trivial surface wear in reflected light. NM displaying Mint.
