Item Description
2x2.5" ambrotype in embossed brass frame house in a "Littlefield, Parsons & Co." gutta-percha case that is 2.75x3". Examining the ambrotype deconstructed of gilt brass frame reveals an ornate border in the image. A superb example w/high contrast and only trivial loss to image. Exc. A scarce image that was likely produced for the 1864 campaign.
