Item Description
1.25" dia. striking silver and metallic blue button complete w/its Philadelphia Badge Co. backpaper. Button features photo image of Buster Crabbe in the title role as "Buck Rogers" wearing space helmet w/rocketship at center and a small human figure at lower right. Text reads "Buck Rogers - Strange World Adventures Club." Released by Universal in 1939, theaters distributed both this button and a membership card. This is an outstanding example w/almost no wear even under magnification. There are three tiny areas where the metallic blue is a lighter color tone which occurred in the printing.One is a tiny 1/16" mark above Crabbe's right eye and the other two even less obvious lighter blue marks are at the button's center near the top edge of the rocketship design. These as printed marks can be seen upon close inspection; however, the button is essentially Mint as made. Scarce and among the most sought after movie serial club buttons.
