Item Description
Listed as Hake #3002 but here suspended from an "Erie County Republican Committee 1916" ribbon w/ornate brass hanger having a "Member" cello. insert. Ribbon has moderate age toning most notably along the center vertical band but there are no tears or holes. Fine. The button retains its "Ehrman Mfg. Co." back paper and has only trivial scattered surface scratches that are visible only in reflected light. NM displaying Mint. Easily the most coveted Hughes jugate this design ranks as one of the finest produced during the golden age of cello. buttons and its offering is every bit as exciting as any of its 1920 counterparts including the Cox/Roosevelt jugates of hobby lore. An extraordinary opportunity to acquire one of the finest political campaign buttons of 20th century.
