Item Description
Pair of 3.5x5.5" Watergate Hotel postcards. Signed by Pablo Casals (1876-1973), cellist, composer and conductor from Catalonia, Spain; widely considered one of the greatest cellists of all time. Signed in black felt tip pen, adding "1973" date. Postcard has handling crease and staining at left on back, not affecting signature. Fine/VF. Other card is signed by Margot Fonteyn (1919-1991), an English ballerina and member of the Royal Ballet. Card has been inscribed in blue ink "To Mr. Taske - With My Best Wishes" and Fonteyn has added "1971" date. Card is evenly aged and Exc. overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COAs.
