Item Description
4-3/8x5x1.5" deep cardboard box w/hinged lid (now separated) contains watch w/7/8x1.25" chromed metal case and original fabric band. US Time. © WDP, 1950s. Interior of lid features choice bkg. scene featuring six of the Seven Dwarfs playing music and box comes complete w/separate removable acetate sheet cel-like overlay w/image of Snow White and Dopey dancing. Registration card is unused. Box has scattered paper remnants/lifts on side panels where hinge was and scattered edge/corner tip wear w/rubs to lid (w/small ink touch-up). Fine overall. Acetate sheet has slight ripple and trace aging. VF. Dial features image of Snow White from the knees up. Band is lightly aged, VF. Case retains near full luster. Watch is wound tightly but ticks and needs a simple cleaning to run properly. Exc. This same style box was used for Cinderella (see item #1779) watches which is also rare. Rare and just the second example of this boxed watch we've offered in our 51 years.
