Item Description
4-3/8x5x1.5" deep cardboard box w/paper hinged lid contains watch w/7/8x1.25" chromed metal case and original fabric band. US Time. © WDP, 1950s. Interior of lid features choice bkg. scene featuring Fairy Godmother and box comes complete w/separate removable acetate sheet cel-like overlay w/image of Cinderella in her ball gown. Registration card has been filled out and has some creases. Box has moderate wear to hinge, but hinge remains intact. Box has some minor rubbing to lid and .25" edge nick. Fine/VF overall. Acetate sheet has slight ripple and tiny corner crack. VF. Dial features image of Cinderella from the knees up. Band has moderate aging and is Fine overall. Case retains near full luster. Running. Exc. This same style box was used for a Snow White (see item #1759) watch which is also rare. Rare and just the third example of this boxed watch we've offered in our 51 years.
