Item Description
13-1/8x16.75" sheet of vellum features mixed media original art for series of punch-out/stand-up trading cards that were to feature - "Cowboys, Indians, Western" as noted in handwritten pencil text below to images of card; one showing card prior to having top half of cowboy punched out and when assembled and standing on its own. Early 1950s and this premium idea developed into the "Roy Rogers Pop-Out Card" premium set, ACC# F278-19. Some scattered wear along top and upper right margins, but art remains clean and Exc. Large "A Creation Of Sam Gold - Premium King" foil crown sticker at bottom left. Unique. Great piece for the non-sport card collector, showing the evolution of this trading card concept. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
