Item Description
14.25x18x3.75" box contains painted tin and tin litho train set No. 4935 by Marx, 1940s-1950s. Box has some scattered edge/corner tip wear to lid but remains free of splits. Lid has long strip of surface paper lifting and is Fine overall. 9" long electric engine in streamlined style w/teardrop stacks. Engine was recently serviced, works well, comes w/original working Marx transformer. Engine has some trace oxidation to back edge of cabin roof, scattered wear to side and is Fine/VF. "New York Central" tender and other cars include "Northern Pacific General Coal Company" hopper, "Santa Fe" tanker, flat bed w/log load and "New York Central" caboose. Cars shows varying degrees of aging and handling wear and are Fin to VF overall. Set also includes 12 track pieces (four straight, eight curved). Great boxed train set.
