Item Description
Large 27x30" thin cardboard proof sheet for all sides of model kit box. L.M. Cox Manufacturing Co., Inc. 1972. Released as part of Cox's "Dogfight Series," model kit could actually be flown when assembled and came w/.049 gas engine. Box features wonderful art presented several different views of World War I German bi-plane by Otto Kuhni, who provided art for numerous toys products from Hot Wheels to Battlestar Galactica. Lower left corner has "Second Proof" notation and lower right corner has extensive handwritten notes regarding changes that had been made. Scattered handling wear w/some creases, but still bright, clean and VF overall. Great piece to frame. Rare.
