Item Description
11" tall cloth doll w/no markings but known to be made by French company O'Lis, late 1930s. Doll is primarily heavy velveteen except for hands, feet and pants, which are felt. Jointed head, arms and legs. Excellent detailing w/white thread pie-cut accents on Mickey Mouse's large black oval eyes, hand stitching for the mouth and hand accents. Pants have two felt-covered cardboard buttons on front/back. Original tail is present but shows moderate wear. Face is evenly aged and doll has some scattered insect damage, including some tiny holes on underside of shoes and seat of pants. Small stitched repair to seam on back of head and shoulder of one arm. Middle of back has .75" seam split w/partial stitched repair. VG/Fine overall. Rare.
