Item Description
27x37" double mat contains large and impressive 19.75x30" heavy cardboard sign features classic full body image of Mickey Mouse gesturing towards large soda bottle w/"Mickey Mouse" illustrated label (featuring same Mickey image) and bottom of sign features smaller full body images of Goofy, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle Cow and Minnie Mouse. Sign advertises carbonated beverage by Ludford Fruit Products Inc., ©1932. Sign lists "Orange - Lemon - Lime Flavors" and lists "Lime Rickey And Pale Dry Ginger Ale In Larger Bottles" at bottom. Mickey's word balloon reads "Have One With Me!" and notes price of 5¢. Sign is in two pieces, separated at center and back has been taped together as well as taped to mat. Moderate corner creases at upper left and lower right. Lower right also had word balloon added by Minnie but this was erased, leaving faint trace. Back of sign has detailed pencil drawings of horse and mule. Scattered dust soiling and surface wear, including some tiny flakes along vertical center. VG overall, but still an incredibly impressive sign for both Mickey Mouse and soda collectors. Very rare, as this is one of only two known examples.
