Item Description
1940s. Large and impressive 35.75" dia. painted steel sign w/applied lettering. Embossed rim surrounds red area. Back has partial Railway Express shipping label as sign was shipped loose. Stenciled recipients name/address on back is Paul F. Wood of Fairmont, WV. Wood founded Wood's Boat House in 1938, which is still in business. Sign shows scattered wear in the form or scratches and nicks w/streak of bare metal showing on rim at 7 o'clock area. Fine overall.
