Item Description
28.25x38.75" poster is dominated by full figure image of Columbia hoisting large American flag in one hand and holding sword in the other. Art is by famed muralist Vincent Aderente and poster was designed by Frances Adams Halsted, who also wrote the "Columbia Calls" poem at lower right, which is partially obscured by 3x19.5" repainted/replaced piece. This covers ending of poem. Poster has had scattered restoration to margins and edges of image area, including repair and color touch-ups to 8.5" horizontal tear at lower left, crossing "Enlist" text and sword. Good/VG overall but still nice for display as linen-mounted.
