Item Description
27x41" poster for the original 1961 release of Hammer Films' "Curse Of The Werewolf," the British studio's classic take on the werewolf mythos. The film starred Oliver Reed and was based on the novel "The Werewolf Of Paris" by Guy Endore. Poster features wonderful graphics of the werewolf holding an unconscious woman in his arms w/blood on his mouth. Foreground has image of torch-bearing mob. Poster has been folded as issued. Staple holes and surface paper lifts at corners; upper right margin has 1" staple pull. .25" split at bottom center fold line, resulting in margin edge being folded under. Small split at bottom fold crease intersection and tiny hole by center vertical fold line in title. Right margin has some scattered staining, more notable on reverse. VG overall, but majority of image area remains unaffected and retains strong color.
