Item Description
Pair of 1940s action toys. 10.5" tall wooden and cardboard toy featuring die-cut jointed cardboard figure of Hitler w/rope around his neck. Metal rivets holding pieces together have some oxidation and figure shows some lt. wear. Fine. 12" painted tin toy depicts Hitler in uniform w/string noose around his neck and metal ring attached to end. Toy's arm is jointed and both legs are articulated at hips and knees and string w/ring attached. When toy is held by top ring and bottom ring is pulled, Hitler gives Nazi salute w/arm as legs swing out. Moderate scattered paint wear. Fine overall. A unique piece of Americana folk art from the period. Mark Treitel Collection.
