Item Description
4x6.5x5.5" tall (7.75" tall w/monkey figure in place) mechanical bank by Strauss Mfg. Co. 1910. Designed like an organ (complete w/anthropomorphic organ pipes on one side), bank is tin litho w/painted solid cast metal "Jocko" monkey and tin "cup" on top of cart for coin placement. Sides have "Little Jocko Musical Bank" name and "Drop A Coin In The Slot - Then Turn The Crank Around - You Will See The Monkey Dance - And Hear The Music Sound" text. Works. Moderate wear to edges of top and where monkey revolves, w/heavy wear at crank area, removing "Jocko" name. Original trap present, comes w/replacement key that opens trap intermittently. VG overall.
