Item Description
Vintage Type 1 8x10" press photo w/image of LZ 129 Hindenburg airship moored at Lakehurst, NJ Naval Air Station on completion of its first trip to America on May 1, 1936. Ship has Nazi Germany swastika markings on tail fins as well as "Hindenburg" name, "D-LZ129" registration number and Olympic Rings markings, which were only used during the 1936 flights. It was at Lakehurst that the Hindenburg would meet its fiery end on May 6, 1937. Photo has some scattered handling wear and small spot of staining in sky area above zeppelin. Fine/VF.
