Item Description
15.25x22" heavy artboard w/black paper and acetate sheet overlays features mixed media original art for back of box art featuring "Team Leader" from Mattel's 1976 "S.W.A.T." toyline, which consisted of ten different figures (and "SWAT" Van) that were sold individually on cards and in two boxed team sets of five figures. This is for Team B set and art is by Otto Kuhni, who provided art for numerous toys products from "Hot Wheels" to "Battlestar Galactica." Black paper overlay was once attached w/masking tape along top margin, but has come loose over the years. Acetate sheet has tape w/handwritten "Darken Flesh" notation. Acetate shows some rippling and is almost loose as well. Artboard has corner tip wear and is Fine/VF overall while art remains clean and Exc. One-of-a-kind piece for the Mattel action figure collector.
